Nine themed worldsthat make up the season

The teacher then tailors the content, choosing the themes that best fit the group's experience, skill level and learning goals. Themes may come back at different stages of the programme, with more challenging tasks and deeper learning each time.

Learn through play

What your child learns throughout the programme

It isn't just playing on a computer. Every class has a plan and a goal: instead of listening to someone talk about a topic, children explore it by solving tasks, doing experiments, building models and working in teams.

Critical and logical thinking

Analyses the situation, looks for cause and effect and chooses a solution.

Creativity and design thinking

Plans a build, tests ideas and refines the result.

Teamwork

Shares roles, resources and responsibility towards a common goal.

Communication and vocabulary

Explains their ideas, talks about their work and learns new English words.

Spatial thinking

Understands scale, coordinates, distance and space.

Resource and time planning

Works within limits on materials, size and time.

Digital literacy and safety

Uses devices and accounts safely and follows the rules.

Growth mindset

Isn't afraid to make mistakes: fixes them, tests again and keeps going.

At schools, classes usually take place straight after lessons, so there's no need to take your child anywhere. In Riga there are separate groups at Domina Shopping centre and in Āgenskalns. In every format, we provide all the equipment and licences needed.

For parents

Good to know before the first class

With in-person classes, there's practically nothing for parents to prepare.

What to bring

A good mood (and a water bottle, if they like). Nothing else is needed.

No need to bring a computer

We provide all the equipment and licences, whether at school, at Domina Shopping centre or at Meteors in Āgenskalns.

At school, straight after lessons

Children go straight from their lessons to class, so there's no travelling and no long wait.

Feedback

The teacher follows each child's progress and assesses what's going well and where more support is needed.

Start at any time

Children can join in the middle of the school year too; the teacher helps them settle into the group's pace.

30-day guarantee

If in the first month you feel the classes aren't right for your child, we'll refund everything you've paid, no questions asked.

Technical support for parents and children

If you'd like to try Minecraft Education at home, or have questions about accounts and software, everything you need is in one place. We reply on weekdays from 16.00 to 20.00 Latvian time.

Open technical support

Reserve a place for your child in an in-person group
